Golner Stack Reimagined

Golner Stack was commissioned by collectors Midge and Jerry Golner, for their Helena, Montana home. The piece was built and installed onsite at their residence and ceramic pieces from many resident artists from the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts make up the fill material of the stack form. In the fall of 2023, the Golners chose to sell their property and looked for an opportunity to donate this piece to the Helena community. The Myrna Loy Center for the Arts in Helena, a landmark in the Helena community, agreed to provide a space in front of the historic building to relocate the sculpture. I agreed to disassemble the piece, move and reassemble the Golner Stack. If you look carefully at the images, you will see an etched image of Myrna Loy looking through the window and at the Golner Stack sculpture.
