Mission Magic Arch – Mission Clay Pipe Company

Mission Magic Arch was created for the Mission Clay Pipe Company sculpture park in Phoenix, Arizona and installed in February, 2020, a couple of weeks before the Covid pandemic set in. I had been working at the Mission Clay Pipe Factory periodically for a couple of years, creating elements for this arch. It was the culmination of time spent at both the Pittsburg, Kansas and Phoenix, Arizona clay pipe factories, researching and experimenting with this amazing industrial product. The color is reflective of the intensity of the desert sun in both the morning and evening hours.
